My neighbor (who has seen me out with Ink in my yard) came over because he almost ran over a turtle with his lawn mower. So I took the turtle home (for about 45 minutes debating where to put her safely) she was cool to the touch. Soaked her and gave her lettuce. And then sadly, had to return her to what used to be 10 acres of beautiful trees. Not anymore. Lyns and I put her on the other side of the landscaping tarp. Very pretty and scared turtle. I hope she stays safe. There is forest about 2 feet in front of the turtle in the last picture.

There needs to be more conservation effort to protect their environment.

I helped a little juvenile cross the highway this week as people flew through the area. It used to be lush, but they are building condos there now.

The wolf river Greenway is one if the only places that hasn't been destroyed for them, but I do fear when they bring in big tractors to cut the grass.

One was hit and shattered.
