Is anyone else sick and tired of Hollywood taking awesome movies and re-making them? I am a total film buff and it is just so sickaning to me. Mostly it seems that Hollywood takes classic horror films from the 70's and 80's, re-makes and totally ruins them. I heard the other day that they are re-making "Dirty Dancing". What a crock! Am I alone here? This should be stopped!!!

This made me laugh out loud! As if!!!

But I do agree with you. I LOVE John Wayne, and it really pained me to think of another actor playing his part in True Grit. I wouldn't go see it.

If they did a decent job on remaking them I would like it, but right now I can't think of one remake or TV series made into a movie I like. I know they are doing a remake of red dawn ( one of my favorites) and I know it is just gonna be awful, just awful.

I put baby in the corner

The Willy Wonka remake was creepy. I can't think of one I liked off the top of my head.

Forget even touching 'An Affair to Remember', and a remake of 'Dirty Dancing'? Where are they going to find a Dad like Jerry Orbach? Come on!
They better not even think about ' The Big Chill'!

Who needed a Willy Wonka remake? Nobody beats Gene Wilder.

You said it Robert! Gene Wilder made that movie and then to make an uber creepy re-make. I know that the re-make was based off of the original book, but still. Gene Wilder was the man in that movie!
