It is the 40th anniversary of "Hot August Nights". The show was amazing. That man has got some serious "mojo". Holy cow! He sounded FANTASTIC! I usually hate concerts because they never sound like the versions of the songs that I am used to listening to. Neil sounds just like he did in the 70's! So SMOOTH.
It was actually a comfortably cool August night. I took my wife, her mother and my 5 year old daughter. My wife has seen him several times before and so has her mother. Grandma used to go every year to see him and she was there, 40 years ago in 1972, the very first time he did the "Hot August Nights" concert. This was my little girls first concert and she loved it. She mostly knows the words to all the songs and she tuckered herself out dancing to all of them.
