Welcome. Keep in mind with the giant species like Aldabras they need a very large area for grazing and proper muscle and bone development.

Yep I know just a pipe dream at the minute may be one day but intill then I love reading about the and keepers experiences with keeping them

I recently got an Aldabra here in South Florida from Aldabraman.
Great little guy. It's kids like deciding to get a horse ( though they stay out much smaller. Hahaha ). They are sweet and calm. - well all tortoises are really. Once you get the environment and feeding right , most of the work is done.
