I have always encouraged people to thing "outdoor" first and "indoors" as a secondary measure. In my opinion, a tortoise's main habitat should be outside. Once the inclement weather hits, it's quite ok to bring them indoor for the rest of the season. And the lifetime garden box would be a very good winter time indoor enclosure.

I agree, and when it is appropriate weather in the summer. Since I'm from Manitoba, Canada it -20 C for about 6 months. So I plan on making a small outdoor enclosure this summer
