Hermann tortoise gender

Hello everyone!
I'm Ethan, 16 and from the UK I currently own a 4.5 year old Hermann tortoise called Sheldon but I'm unsure wether he is a he or a she I'd be so grateful if someone could help me.

Hi Ethan, and welcome to the forum!

I don't keep Hermanni, and have never seen one in person, other than pictures, so you can take it or leave it, but that looks like a female tail to me. Here's a male tail - note how far the tip reaches over to the leg on the right side:

Thank you for replying! Sheldon's tail does curl underneath although I think you maybe right as it isn't that long.
