Herbie Hermann advice needed

Hi there

Please can you tell me whether Herbie is male or female? He/she is 7 years old - any advice is greatly appreciated!

Also if he/she's Western or Eastern would be really helpful if anyone knows?

I agree with JoesMum. While the photo angle isn't ideal, "Herbie" does appear to be a female Eastern Hermann's (Testudo hermanni boettgeri).

Ah thanks everyone. You're right Tyrs4u she absolutely hated every second of that picture but was spoilt afterwards!! Am thrilled with the news! Will have re think her name now but might just leave it because I think she knows it ;-)

Used to go to school with a "Herbella" and a "Herberta", at various points of my childhood, if that's any help...not sure what they, themselves, thought of their names, though. Other possibilities might be Herbeisha, Herbetine, Herbolyn, Herbulia, Herbina, and Herbette.

Or simply Bertha or Bertie (which is what Herberta mostly went by).
