Hi All
Have just been for a routine check up with my tort vet before I hibernate Herbie for the first time. This last 3 months we've indentified her as a girl - she's about 7 years old now. He scanned her and said she was producing eggs (a little young but said it was because she was in captivity) he said she would either lay them or absorb them! and we were to scan her again in the Spring after hibernation.
She's not been in contact with any males so is this normal?
He said not all females produce eggs so am confused..
Also is it still fine to hibernate her?
Any advice welcomed very much
Many thanks!
