So should I break it off? Or just leave it aloneYou can often see places on a tortoise where there has been a slight injury/bump or just something that effected the new keratin growing at the seams. The will develop these small bumps of irregular growth of keratin as it fills in around that spot. That looks like what you have here. Nothing to worry about.
I' leave it alone unless it is sticking out far enough to catch on things, I so, I'd try to file it down a bit.@Markw84 should I snap off the extra piece, or leave it alone?
K will it naturally go away? It’s fine for now, but if it gets worse I’ll file it downI' leave it alone unless it is sticking out far enough to catch on things, I so, I'd try to file it down a bit.
As the tortoise grows, it normally blends somewhat into the new growth around it. Kind of like a tiny, extra scute.K will it naturally go away? It’s fine for now, but if it gets worse I’ll file it down

I agree with Mark. Leave it alone. It will naturally wear down in time on its own.@Tom I think you’re good with tortoise health, do you have any thoughts?
