I'm assuming it's a he, his plastron is pretty concave. And he's about 4-6 inches. I'll get an accurate measurement on him in the morning. He also appears to have been attacked by something, he has an area on his shell that looks like its healing from a pretty bad wound. But it's looking great

4_6 inches is in line for being an eastern I was thinking there May have been some gulf coast in him due to his coloration characterization. but congrats on the new ebt

in regards to the wound, is this turtle wild caught or how did you come by it?

Thanks! He's a real sweet heart. I've seen a ton of easterns before but his coloration is pretty unique from what I've seen in the others.

Could be from the southern end of the range of Easterns where it has crossed with either Florida OR Gulf Coast. I've seen one other like this before and that's where it was from.

He was found by a friend of mine, but was definitely owned before. You can pet his head and he doesn't ever hide in his shell or hiss
