Dee not sure what you mean by regular box turtle?

My guess at best.. would be female 3-toed. Do you know anything at all about her? OR any other pics available?

Well, I guess I was not being very specific. I live in NJ and we have box turtles all over. Not sure what they would be considered. Although they look similar in shape, the coloring is much different. Ours are dark with alot of orange and yellow. Someone rescued this one and is trying to place it near me but I am not familiar with the care.

Your natives are Eastern Box Turtles, that one in the pic looks more like a Three-Toed Box to me.

The box turtle in the picture is a female Gulf Coast box turtle, Terrapene carolina major. The care is the same as an Eastern box turtle, except for a larger water dish.
