Hello, I am old to reptiles, breed snakes, but brand new to torts. Got the g.f. a to baby sulcata fir her birthday and have to admit he is pretty cool. Anyway, he was 30 grams when I got him. Has uvb, ceramic heat, coconut husk mixed with spanghum moss for substrate, water dish and a hide. He is given a mixture of greens and sweet peppers daily, as well as a soak and some natural sunlight time. I have not observed him feeding though, but weight is up to 33 grams and we have only had him for about 3 days. Everything sound right?

Hello and Welcome. Leave out the peppers. Add as much variety as possible. Soak him every day in warm water for 20-30 minutes daily for a year, then you can cut back to 3-4 times a week. Temps should be 80 with humidity at 80% and a basking spot of 95+. Do not use any coil bulbs, they cause eye problems. Please read the threads below in my post for sulcata care and housing.
