I'm a new sulcata grandma since my son came home with a baby recently. There is a lot of conflicting information and criticism out there so I came here with hopes of finding other sulcata owners who can set things straight. I live in Arizona with my human and growing reptile family. Happy to be here :)

Welcome to the forum. You've definitely come to the right place for the most up-to-date information. Check out the species specific section for a care sheet forsulcatas.

Hello and welcome.

Hydration is extremely important for babies. He needs a damp substrate and daily soaks. Many babies are started too dry and even one day can make a huge difference in how well they do later on, so please forgive my sense of urgency.

Hello, and a very warm welcome to Tortoise Forum to you and Flash.
As has been said, humidity is critical at this time, to ensure a healthy tortoise with healthy growth.
Lovely little sulcata.
