Hello,
So, glad to be a part of this forum. I often find myself here, when I'm looking up information on my little buddy. His name is Tonka, he is a seven year old sulcata tort. We are from Wisconsin, the summers are great, but the winters are quite chilly, making it difficult to own a desert tortoise. He is one of the smartest animals I have owned. He has free range of our house, he has his own room with his light and a bed. He is potty trained to go on the tile floor, comes to his name, and paws at the fridge when he wants a snack. We give him long soaks, and then he will cuddle up with us on the couch. He's pretty much a dog.
