Heating cable for sully?

Does anyone use one maybe in a hide if so are they safe? Do u put them under the substrate or above?

I use one with my Leopard, and emys, under 2-3" of moist substrate. I dont run it under their hide, however they are closed chamber set ups. They are waterproof heat cables from bigapple herp. Used with thermostat. They get very warm, not hot hot. Creates nice humidity levels.
