My enclosure is a glass exo terra terrarium. I have fool on the top to keep humidity in with holes in the top for lights. The light is on a timer and goes from about 9-9. At night I turn The Che on but it gets to hot so I open the doors and put I fan I front of them. This is too much hassle plus it lets out the humidity. What can I do to avoid this

Buy a thermostat for your CHE and run the probe inside the enclosure. This will turn the CHE on and off automatically and keep the temperature where you want it. While your heat lamp is on during the day, the CHE will remain off as long as the temps is above where you set the thermostat to come one.

It is very simple. Plug the thermostat into the wall. Plug the CHE into the thermostat. Set the dial on the thermostat to the temp you want. Then check it and fine tune as needed.
