Ok so i am planning on building a mini house for my adult redfoot torts and i was wondering wat a good height would be for the walls so that the heat emitter is not to hot on the torts. Also, wat would be a good wattage of the emitter? I live in the Florida panhandle and it never gets colder the 20 degrees max. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Thanks

For wall height, I usually visualize a tortoise sitting next to a wall, and another tortoise standing on the first tortoise's back and reaching to the top of the wall with his front legs. You want your wall to be out of his reach. You can make the height of the CHE as high or as low as is needed by hanging it rather than clamping it on the wall. You need to measure the temp under it and make adjustments.
