Head Scratches

My little Russian has recently started to leave her head out when I give her head scratches and pets. Do they actually like them or just tolerate them? I am just wondering because I enjoy giving her scratches that I know she can actually feel, versus the shell where I know she does not feel much.

It depends on the tortoise, some love having their head scratched.

6 months but that was taken at 4 months!

I would guess if they didn't like it they would pull their head in.

My leopard, Nala walks right up to my hand waits for a chin scratch. Even if I just dropped food, she comes to me first and then heads to her dish. So I think there are definitely certain tort personalities that like it.

Our little tortoise Mikey loves this too.. Tho when it suits him. Sometimes he'll be chilling under his lamp head right out and content, I lean in and scratch his neck and he lifts his head in my general direction in a "ooh yeah, just there" kind of way.

My Russian Sheldon has really taken to head rubs too which is awesome for me as I love to give him head rubs lol

My boy will stretch his neck out as far as it'll go for me to rub it. He loves the affection
