Hello!
I am new to this forum, but not so much to our shelled friends. I am more of a turtle girl than a tortoise one but I love them all!
I currently have two african helmeted turtles, one musk turtle, two yellow bellied sliders, one mississippi map turtle, one spiny softshell, two painted wood turtles and one cherry head.
Along with this I have also ridiculously filled my house with a tropical, goldfish, puffer and marine tank as well as five rats. I have had to build a pond upstairs and sacrifice a sofa...
At least here I can imagine I won't get strange looks for that!!

Right, let's see if this works...
What should be in these photos is Vince and Myrtle, the African Helmeteds - aka The Smilers. The photo of them basking is an incredibly rare one and I literally had to crawl across the floor sooo sloooowly just so they wouldn't notice me and take a leap. The second after I took it they were back in the water...

Then we have Rufio the cherry head and Bertram the musk turtle. I took Bertram in from a friend who couldn't keep his turtles - they were in a 4ft by 1ft tank and along with Bertram were two yellow bellied and a map turtle. The musk is only about 3/4 inches while the other three are probably around 6-8 so I had to get him out!

This is Carol and Daryl, the painted wood turtles. They came from the same place as the ybs, map and musk and were in a 2 foot glass tank! They are now in a 6x3 enclosure with plans for extension!

The ratty boys - l-r Drago, Stottelmeyer, Randall, Rocky and Apollo. The bridge is where they get treats. The Bridge of Treats.

After suddenly recieving 5 turtles all at once I suddenly had to build a pond. In my spare room. Ceiling still holding up...
On the left hand side is Scaramouch (ybs) and on the right is Fandango (ybs) and Holy Toledo (map). They all lived together for years but as soon as I got them and gave them lots more space Scaramouch and Fandango decided they couldn't stand the sight of each other! I am currently planning a second pond so they can all have more space.
The other photos are of the newest addition - Theodore Rockhound the Spiny softshell. You shouldn't have favourites but he is working his way up there!

Then finally we have the tropical tank, the goldfish tank and the kitchen tanks! The top is brackish water with a figure eight puffer and bumblebee gobies, middle is a newly set up marine tank and in the bottom is the softshell. Although I'm sure it's not gonna be long before I'm gonna be building a third pond for him the amount he eats..!
