You can catch one, but you'll be bleeding.
Generally the small ones are too fast for me to catch.
But when they come into the work bays, they can't get traction on the dusty, painted cement floor.

A Haitian gentleman that works with my wife catches them this way. And eats them.

Funny thing is that back a few years ago when a cold snap killed hundreds of thousands of them, nothing. I mean nothing would eat the bodies.
Agreed, my green iguana was "tame-ish" and he's still shred you if he didn't want to do what you had in mind. He got into our willow tree once and I thought the resulting battle might kill both of us.
I had a rescue male like that. He also got mean when I had my period.
