My Greek is basking almost all the time. Is this normal? Only had him for 4 days now. Almost all his time he has been basking on top of his log hide.

Welcome to the forum, ripdsawyer! :)

Some basking is normal. Sounds like your little Greek is tryng to warm up. Maybe the rest of his enclosure is a little too cool? What are your temps?

Four days is a very short time, especially for a tortoise. They can take weeks to get used to new surroundings. Hard as it may be, don't keep watching your new friend. It's intimidating to him. Give him space to feel safe to explore and get used to his new home and he will start to be more curious.

Yeah...I figure I'm just being paranoid as probably most newbs are...but I just want her to be happy. I adjusted my ceramic heater a little. The basking is now at 102° and the cool still hovering around 80°
