War Eagle 6th, or more affectionately known as Tiger, has passed away at the age of 34 after surgery, believed to be the oldest living Golden Eagle in captivity. Tiger made history, in not just being believed to be the oldest living Golden Eagle in captivity, she was also the first eagle to fly free in Jordan Hare Stadium. Tiger is also very well known not just amongst the Auburn family, Tiger flew for the Opening Ceremony for the 2002 Winter Olympics. She did a lot of things in promoting conservation and all sorts of events for the Auburn family.

The Auburn Tradition to fly and eagle before every home game started back in the 1800s when a soldier came home from the civil war with and eagle that he rescued. During the first game with Auburn Vs Georgia, the Auburn family was loosing, and the soldiers eagle took off during the game, and the fans in the stadium started to chant War Eagle, and the Auburn family won that game, a tradition was born.
Tigers very last flight
