You're in northeast Ohio and it takes you two hours to get to Akron?

Also, you do need a permit to keep easterns here in Ohio. He is a cutie. And your enclosure looks great! Much better than he was living in.

I'd make it more heavily planted. Bodies like to hang out under plant canopy

I agree good start, but more plants, the best box turtle habitat, is one where you can't see them.

Ok I planted some lettuce weed and plants from my yard. Better? Also I have a MVB for UVB I'm wondering if a strip UVB would be better for a box turtle? Do they need a basking spot? I have read both that they do and they don't? Thanks!

I was told this is a female but I'm assuming male from the red eyes?

Red eyes are usually a male trait, but females can also have them, but this fellow just screams male t o me for some reason, nice job with the more plants.

Thanks. His shell is pretty concave too. He has not moved since I put him in his enclosure. It's probably been 2 hrs. I think he's gonna need some adjusting time lol

Mostly grass and weeds from my yard. I do have one I bought but I can't remember the name of it. I plan to get one or two spider plants too. R there any I shouldn't use for a box turtle?
