Getting a dog mauled Redfoot

I'm picking up this little gem on Sunday.
I've never had a Redfoot before but believe me, I will be doing a ton of research between now and then.
Any tips for me about the chewed on shell?

Yes, he said it happened 13 months ago and it's all healed up

Air conditioned? I close off the vents in my reptile room if the air conditioning is on.

Poor Turtlini. So glad you're getting the tortoise. However, the set up he had, from what I can see of it, looks pretty nice. I guess its just hard to keep a dog away from a set up like that, though. As much of the shell as it chewed away, I'm surprised the legs weren't injured. Be sure to post some pictures when you get turtleini. Sorry guys, OP just texted me and someone just took Turtlellini, I really hope it wasn't someone from this forum. Anyway, I'm glad he is able to find someone to care for him.
