My adult female red foot has sore front legs. It looks like it is rubbing on her shell even though the shell is smooth!.
She is also a poor eater and refuses anything with calcium on it. She is marching around fine and has correct light and heat.
I have germolene, fucidin, sudocrem and no exotic vet .
Any help would be appreciated. Be kind.
Thankyou

Feel the shell where it rubs her legs. Does it feel sharp? If so, take a piece of emory cloth, or sand paper and blunt that edge. I'd like to see a picture of the tortoise. I'm wondering if it is shaped abnormally.

I agree.
Photos please.
That's not enough to go off of to form any type of theory.
How long have you had your Redfoot? Is it the one from your 2013 posts.
What is your "correct" light and heat?
And what is the temperature and humidity?
FUCIDIN is for infections. Is the skin rubbed through?

Have added pics of edge of shell. It is not 'sharp' but is a pointed edge if you know what I mean. She has heat bulb and uva/uvb bulb also. Has always been a poor eater and will NOT eat anything with calcium/vit dust o. It.

Treat the scraped leg just like you would treat your own knee if you scraped it - some sort of first aid ointment. Then I'd cut a small strip of duct tape and cover the edge of the shell with tape. The shell edge doesn't look sharp to me in the picture, but there may be some sort of deformity that causes the shell to rub the leg raw.

Fucidin or just sudocrem do you think?
