This should work if they let you have CLEAR LIQUID DIET One of my friends swears by it. He had a c/spine surgery and was having several beers and white wine the night before saying "but they told me clear liquids were ok until midnight". Sending healing thoughts your way, KenWell hope your home doing well and having a few :View attachment 141452
Let us all pray that surgery is not needed! I am recovering from 2 recent surgeries (due to broken leg) and my medical bills are enormous! I'm not sure if the hospital over where Ken is does it but most facilities offer financial service to uninsured patients. Ken has a right to be treated regardless of his his medical coverage or financial status. By law they have to treat him just as if he were insured, or privately paying VIP client. As long as hospital gets some minimal sum on regular bases from him they can not do anything to him. His memory maybe this way because he very likely bumped his head, hopefully it's just a "shook up brain" from the impact. It should all get back to normal once the bruises and tissue swelling subside. Keeping my fingers crossed for good xray reportsI got to go stay the night with him last night. I don't sleep much but boy did he...jerk! JOKING! Well kinda...
About the time I figured I should sleep they came to take him for his X-rays, this means about 2am. We still have yet to hear anything about said X-rays. Either way he has lots of rehab that is needed. I will be setting up a "go fund me" account for him in the next few day to help with the cost of all this. For those of you who don't know what that is, it is an online way to help donate money to his health care bills. As some of you know he just started that new job and lacks having health insurance so we are watching his truck's medical coverage dwindle away. His memory is poor and forgets things like me no longer living with him. It's hard but he is a tough old bird and will pull threw! Thank you for all the love and well wishes!

Thank you Morgan,i have heard playing songs can help kick start memory, if possible perhaps try playing a favourite album? .
I been begging my wife to get me the song named " drinking beer with Jesus " ask Ken about that song and tell him to rush home .Thank you Morgan,
Hope the x ray results are good for Ken - we are all constantly thinking of him.
He has recently been educating us about some of the finer points of country music and especially a lovely track called 'Would you lay with me' so maybe John is right - music may help him regain his memory. The only trouble is he may keep the other patients awake by singing!
I hope you are getting some rest too.
Take care
Love and best wishes to your Dad.
