How much do I feed my Russian tort? He is about 3.5 inches in length and he is quite a good eater, but don't want to over feed him because this tortoise species seems to become overweight easily... I don't know how much to feed him and how much nutrobal and calci dust.. To sprinkle on??
Also I need a few more buddies :p

For a young and growing tort, it is unlikely it will eat too much. However, a mound of food roughly the size of its shell is a good guideline

For clacium, you don't want to over do it, so maybe a little once or twice a week. Having a cuttlebone available at all times allows them to control their own intake as well.

If they have a large enclosure, preferably outside, they can just be free fed and graze all day. Indoors in a small enclosure I like to offer a pile about the size of the tortoise twice a day.

For calcium: I like to supplement growing babies and egg laying females twice a week, and none for adult males. Access to cuttle bone is always a good idea.
