Flower girl

Frankie loves it when the boys bring her fresh clover and dandelions from outside. We laugh because she always eats the flowers first. There are lots in her outside enclosure but these are from Sunday when it was raining. The good news is that we got one more dose of sun this week and she has been out picking her own flowers!

My daughter does the same thing...as soon as she gets home from school, she scours the front yard for dandelions and clover. The babies go nuts for the stuff (from her hand). Even though there's plenty in the backyard as well, there just seems to be something about being hand fed that sets off these little eating machines.

That's great that the kids take an active role in getting them goodies! She is a lucky tortoise.
