I don't ever see mine flash. Even the big bulls don't, at least, that I see.

Our indian stars will flash every time I pick them up.

its a she... I don't know her exact age...been thinking about 2ish

If it's a she, then how did it flash you? As far as I know males flash their private parts, penis, not females. Do you have a he/she?

Maybe never flash, maybe 20 years, maybe younger. There is no set age, size, or that they have to.

Females still flash, but their genitals are much smaller. Some describe them as being like a 'cowboy hat'.

A male's genitals are totally disproportionate!!

Not all tortoises flash and males do it more often than females.

I posted a link to the pic of her flashing, and as far as I know its just a she, and that they do also flash their private bits, I don't fully understand this is what I have learned from here and other forums...

I wasn't aware that females can flash too. One of my males must be going through his teenage phase because he's flashing like crazy these days. There is absolutely no doubt if you have a male because it is quite impressive. Mine is about 7 years old and 12" scl for reference.

We thought, when we bought our two leopards last year, that the slightly larger one was the male and the smaller one was the female. Then we took them to a specialist tortoise vet for treatment and he told us that it was the other way round. Then we saw the larger one following the smaller and trying to mount so we thought maybe the vet was wrong and we were right after all and now, yesterday, Frankel, the larger of the two, gave me a quick flash of his manhood as I carried him to bed, telling him what a handsome lad he is. Problem solved! Just need to be 100% about Julie now. They are both 6 years old and Frankel weighs 1700gms and measures 7.5 inches while Julie weighs in at 950gms and is 6.25 inches I have to weigh in gms cause my Spanish scales are in gms. but I have a UK ruler which measures in inches!
