My mom and dad's field used to be nothing but alfalfa. The field has not been reseeded in well over a decade or more. So the Alfalfa is patchy at best. The majority of the field now is clover and this natural grass that has seemed to take over. I was wondering if this wild grass would be suitable Sulcata food. The stems are much more course, and the blades are much wider than normal lawn grass. I chopped some up into little quarter inch pieces and mixed it with some broad leaf and narrow leaf plantain and he ate it, and just wanted to know if that would be a decent grass to offer once in awhile. We have about 20 acres of the stuff, and is chemical-free. So I'm hoping so.20180508_162008.jpeg

Should be absolutely fine. He'll never know what hunger is...
Thats great news!! Thanks Tom. I felt kind of like a bonehead, been hitting up all these different people about whether or not their yards are treated or not and if I could gather grass clippings. My dad said to me yesterday why don't you just get some grass from the field.
