Damn my local petco never have females. They only have males (I look) and they sell rather quickly around here.

That does look like a female to me, but judging by her size compared to your thumb, I'd say she's not mature enough to breed yet. In Russians, males need to be at least about 5 inches SCL, and females 6 inches to breed. That one looks like she's only 3-4 inches long, right?
