So here in Ohio it's October and I just brought Gary into his tortoise table for the winter. I do not hibernate him as he is my only Russian and I do not intend to do any breeding. Ever since Gary has been put outside I've noticed a lot of grass in his stool. I know they are typically not grass eaters but it seems like he enjoys in. He's fed a very large amount of greens and weeds everyday so it's not like his options are limited. I'm in the midst of growing my Sulcata hatchling wheat grass for their diet so I'm wondering if it would be alright to include this into the Russian tortoises diet while he's inside for the winter?

Definitely no problem in feeding him grass. Although grass is not very nutritional for Russians, if he enjoys it and still has access to other nutritional weeds and things, then he’ll be golden.
