Good think he is small, a bigger sulcata would be able to get out of that just by using brute force... :p:p

Very cool! I'd either buy or plant Pet Grass in there... as well as a shallow bowl of sorts semi buried in the soil so the cutie can drink or soak if it wants the soil off... :) I usually put more things in there during the day so it's exercise (the things that block there pass). Then around 3ish I remove them & place food in its place, & see if he or she worked up a little appetite & if not & if they didn't no worries. Just feels great knowing they are Walking around as much as they can... But awesome! & congrats.... My 10 inch Sulcatas killed my 1st kiddie pool =-]

Planting grass inside...theres an idea. Theres already collard greens mixed with alpha pellets in there...just couldnt get the whole enclosure in the pic. Only problem/s ive run into thus far is...mounting a sufficient heat source :-( . I got a hanging heat lamp but its not gonna be near hot enough for 'basking', maybe 87-/+(?)F. Outlets r also limited in the room, its my workout room...weights dont need power. So im seeing extension cords and surge protectors in our future...

You can build a light bar with 3 2x4s or even maybe find an adjustable clothes rack and dangle the lamps from that. The 2x4s might be cheaper couple nails and cuts and walah a support for your lamps.

Well, the 240lbs of top soil i bought is way too cold and the rigged heat lamp setup isnt doing even a decent job. Emergency procedures! Put his old setup inside his new one until i can work out a much better heat source. I also say the top soil is way too wet and needs dried out to provide any heat. I knew something was wrong when Tilley was keeping inside his shell for a few hours.

speaking of tortoise temps (since you have a sulcata as well... everyone else have been giving me mixed answers.) what should good temps be for them? (day: basking side and cool side, along with night time temps?) all i know is i should drop at night?

i bet you cant move it now right? ! i did a plastic kiddie pool and there was no way I could move it once I got the dirt in it..
you can put potted plants in there for some deco or hides.

I've looked into temps quite a lot and asked the breeder. Basking needs to be in the 110'F range, sleeping area needs be around 55' (their regular climate is a desert...) and normal areas in the 85' range.
