DRYING SCUTE LAYERS

Haven’t noticed in the last 2 weeks but it seems like a few layers of his scute are drying out..

Soaking 2-3 times a week. If no soak then at least a spray down with hose or mister.

The top of his head seems to be slightly peeling, I assume it’s due to growth.

I don't see anything of particular concern on the shell.

The peeling on the head is normal shedding of skin and requires no interference or potions.

Snakes shed skin tidily all in one go. Humans shed skin in tidy bits that become house dust. Tortoises do it in patches and look downright tatty at times. The old skin will rub off naturally as your tort goes about its business.

Just make sure your tort is properly hydrated by soaking regularly
