What is recommended for a dry shell? I've got some lotion from hospital that really has nothing in it. Thought I'd get opinions first. It's not cracking or anything just looks dry. Ty

I would not use a lotion. May we see a picture of your torts shell to see how dry?
Is your tort grown os still a baby?
Regular soaks in warm water are always a good idea.

I've had him for over a year and he soaks almost daily. Picture is blurry and it's not bad at all. I've heard just a dab of an unscented lotion was ok. Just my curiosity.

I think a better option would be unrefined coconut oil. Rub it on the shell and let it soak in for 5 minutes or so an then rub with a towel to get excess off. Once every couple of weeks.
