Hi guys,

I've just taken my two marginated males out of hibernation. They are both alert and have both eaten. They don't seem to have had a drink yet though. I've given them both a warm soak but they don't seem interested in drinking. How long on average after coming out of hibernation should it take for them to have a drink?

They may have drank some, and you just didn't see it. Mine usually drink right away. You might try letting a hose run and setting them in the puddle. Mine often like to drink like this. Good luck!

Depends on how "to it" the torts get quickly...a couple of the CDTs here will take awhile to actually drink when they first get soaked....while the other two will usually drink quicker....each tort is an individual :p
