I was looking over some numbers at work and started to wonder, does water pH and hardness have an effect on tortoises?

I work at a car wash company. We have stores in some markets that have to inject acid into their water because it has so many particles and the pH is so off. Since torts have to maintain certain enzymes and things in their gut, can the water they ingest actually cause harm?

It's just one of those odd things you think about when you are jumping from spread-sheets to TFO.

Thanks ya'll

I don't know about tortoises, but it absolutely matters for aquatic species.

Totally didn't even think about what would happen to an aquatic.
