Do Russian torts have to hibernate? New Russian mom!

I am mom to a big ol boy Sulcata and new to the Russian.......Wondering if Russian torts have to brumate in the Southern US?? One day it may be cold and sunny anda 65/70 the next....

They do not have to brumate, but they should brumate. Doing this outdoors subject to the cruel whims of Mather nature is often a death sentence.
