I have a few juvenile rhinos, they go on the bottom, because they're not especially well behaved. I had one open her tub last week. They sleep in the covered bins and go back out in the mornings. I cover their bins with a redfoot bin to make sure they can't pop their bin open. I can only stack them 2 high, but it still saves a bit of floor space. The adult and "teenage" group stay side by side. I have seen photos of people building racks 2 or 3 stock tubs high. My indoor setup is fairly basic, but they rarely stay indoors for more than 3 days. They spend almost the entire year outside.

Stackable can be done.
Right now mine are housed inside. Two per tote.
Vent holes in the sides.

Unprecedented amount of rain in January in south Florida, largest ever recorded cyclone hit Mexico, hurricane forming in the Atlantic, insane tidal surges in Miami, weather records being set around the globe….

Thank you CERN.

I like it. But my one car garage is packed with motorcycles and equipment.

Here are mine all spread out. They are all huddling together since it hit 65F in the garage. The babies are kept in the plastic bins with covers since there se under mat heaters for them.ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1453206023.763972.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1453206037.563091.jpg

I just love listening to you guys moaning about it in the 50/60f range. We've had it around the 55f this winter. . It's ridiculous, last time it was like this I was -31 yrs old.
It's T-shirt weather. The norm would be about 25f this time of yr.
Although we have weather warnings for snow over the next few days. We will see, cause they always get it right:rolleyes:
What is snow ? :)

It has finally gotten into the high 50s at night time here.
Almost cold enough to bring all of my RF inside my "Sun room" With a heater.
They are all hunkered down in their houses even in the afternoon when it's in the 70s.
This is a rare experience.
55 degrees is when I take action.
You?

Hi Zero pilot
a question: can I put a heating pad in the Dog Kennel for Tugie?
I can put in on low and a towel on it?

what do you think?

Lori

No prelonged weather pleases me,
snow for more than 2 wk, I moan.
If its hot for more than 2 week, I moan.
If it rains for too long, I moan.
If it gets to dry, I moan.
I just like to moan.
Thanks for listening. Lol. :D

I know that some members use "pig blankets". I do not and can't offer advice.
However, I can say that whenever possible it is best to aim the heat from above down to mimic natural heat.

I would strongly suggest you not do that, it is a fire hazard unless you set up a thermostat/rheostat. Those pig blankets are made to be put on concrete and nothing on it. They all get a bit sluggish with the cold. They can go up to two weeks without food so if tugie Is eating when warm, I wouldn't worry.
