The room it will be in, the enclosure will be right next to a window. The average temperature is like 68 to 70 degrees year round
UV will not pass through windows unless they have really old glass. My house was built in 1923 and my Solarmeter 6.5r say 0 for the pass through. For the cold north you will a UVB bulb for his indoor enclosure

Yes I realize that I just wanted to share with people just in case they see the bulbs and want to get them. More so just to be aware. It is keeping basking area nice and cozy so that’s great.

Depending on where in the world you live, CHE can do quite a lot.
Here in Florida, my night houses each contain a single 75w CHE on timers and they keep my tortoises warm outside on all but the chilliest nights.
I'm aware that a chilly night in south Florida is a great deal warmer than a chilly night in Wisconsin.
The answer is not a "one size fits all" answer.

I do the same. It’s just becoming a bit of a scavenger hunt at this point.
I grabbed stuff that was in a shelve to have it just in case View attachment 304938
I still use these as a heat and light source for my Veiled Chameleons.
(With T5 UVBs)
I've begun to hoard those incandescent bulbs.

I've found packs of 4 at the dollar store!
Oh great IDEA !!!!!
Going to look.
So far with one of the 75W the enclosure is staying in 80’s all the time basking spot 4 ranges, CHE (80W connected to thermostat) turns on as needed.
