I noticed a spot on his ear today during his weigh in, he is still gaining weight, but anyways I tried a wet warm wash cloth corner he let me rub his face lol he lets me pet his so it was easy. Then it wasn't coming off I won't push pressure he is way to small, so I dropped a drop of betadine solution in a Q tip and then died the Q tip into water to dilute it. He let me twist the Q tip amd try to clean it but it still didn't work. Also I didn't hurt him did I, he didn't flinch or anything so I figured it's okay, and I usedthe other side of the Q tips instantly after a little touch and twist to try wiping whatever is on his ear off. So it when dry fast. 20220407_140220.jpg20220407_140217.jpg

Keep an eye on it. But don't get worried unless it gets larger, etc.
I think this is superficial.
It should go away on its own.
I have him in a tote in my closet and the spider traps around him in the closet one caught a brown recluse, I live in a log cabin and we have a lot of them we catch we need to reseal the cabin this year.the red dot above it makes me wounder if it's a spider bite

I've been bitten by a Brown Recluse.
That's not the cause of that dot.
But I suppose it could be a bite from some other spider or insect. It just doesn't look like anything that needs any attention

My enclosure keeps getting up to 89 or even 90 degrees at night. I move the thermostat sensor to right under the ceramic heater but this is a 50w ceramic heater now not a 100w one. And it's still happening, let alone if I was to put it inside the tote with the lid not cut for it but just in there under the lid, it would be so close to the ground it would be to hot, so idk how ppl setup a tote. I'll build a pvc enclosure 2x4x2 so I got 2 foot hight to be able to hang my ceramic heaters one at each end to keep one end 85-87 88 maybe, then the other will stay 81-85. He is only 7 weeks old. Tortoisetown is were I got him online. Was told he is 3 1/2 months old. But March 8th when he arrived he still had skin on his belly healing from the egg sack but was completely healed after a week with me.

Is the temp getting up to 89 or 91 bad for him. Like brain damage bad??? What is too hot. I check it all the time so a hour is the longest he would be there like that.
