CHE vs Red heat bulbs

I've been using red heat bulbs at night to keep temps up...told by pet store (flag) that they don't disturb sleep patterns...is that true? Should I switch to CHE's? Thanks
My russians only sleep pattern seems to be that she sleeps all the time

The reason I like them, is that they seem to last forever. I have one that's going in two years now and is on 24/7 during the Winter months. Before that I would use a blue night light. I don't like the red, not for any reason, but that it's just not my preference.

I have a CHE on 24/7 has the main heat source and a red heat bulb on during the day for extra heat.
