If i make a closed chamber out of wood can it house a red foot/yellow foot? I just thought the wood would get rotten.

A closed chamber is perfect for those species.
Any wood closed chamber will need some type of sealing or liner.

This is exactly why I converted a glass tank into a closed chamber..no issues with mold or rot :)

Here is a picture of ours for Redfoots.
Bookcase turned over. Construction from my husband with wood and plexiglass.
The wood is lined with a plastic shower curtain.

You can use wood without sealing it, I have been doing it for years. It will last alot longer than you think. It all depends on if its inside or outside, mine have all been outside so I was not worried if they leaked or not. The last one that I built was the size of a 4 x 8 ft sheet of plywood. It has a door on it so my redfoots can come and go as they please. I leave the garage door cracked so they can come and go. If its for inside I would seal it

Well what im going to do now is just make what sk8todd did. His setup is amazing. I will just put a top over the enclosure and make the pvc pipe run through a wall in the enclosure itself.
Sk8todd, thanks for the great idea.
