That's a female and it's a wild caught adult.I got this tortoise on January 1st 2020. Form PetSmart. I sadly do not know how old she/he is. I was told she/he was a baby and I do not know the Sex/gender.
Are you sure it's an adult the man said it was a baby.Almost full grown (maybe about 10 or so years of age) female, as Todd has said.

Oops didn’t notice “Russian” right there in the title of the post!!!!Boy, you guys are good!!! I’d certainly need more than one photo to make an ID! Welcome to the forum, jtglack!
Because the Russian is a SMALL species, people that don't really know about tortoises think they are babies. Are you sure it's an adult the man said it was a baby.
How do you know it's wild-caught?
What a Russian lacks in size, they easily make it up in pure attitude.
The size makes them great pets. But they also need a lot of room as they are super active.
Don't get two.
Oh, and they can climb like a tiny mountain goat.
And put Goannas to shame with their digging skills!Oh, and they can climb like a tiny mountain goat.
well how long is it in inches and I can tell youAre you sure it's an adult the man said it was a baby.
You can never tell the exact age of a tort based on their size. Every tort has a different growth rate. Some grow more one year, and others stay small that year. You can get a rough estimate. Thats what Im trying to figure out for my tortwell how long is it in inches and I can tell you
