Found a store that has cactus pad fruit. They had green and red fruits, I asked one of the employees if the green fruit would turn red and was told no. If that is correct is there one that would be better to feed my red foots. The green ones were a little cheaper.
Also got some of the red fruits that were peeled and sliced my red foots love them. Should the fruits which they told me were called tunas in Mexico be peeled before feeding them?

Both green and red (as well as yellow and pink) tuna are fine...DON'T peel them. But, if your torts are young, you can slice it thin...leave the skin though!

I believe the cactus fruit is more of a treat than a staple? The cactus pads can be fed more regularly. If they have spines, hold with a thick glove and use a potato peeler to shave them off so you can handle it.
