I was so worried about my rescued Chekhov. I never saw him out of his hide. His food was gone, but I always have to dig him out of his hide to bathe him, which I feel kind of diminishes the safeness of a hide... but I NEVER caught him out of it!
So yesterday my youngest was down there hand-feeding him (she likes the feel of his tongue, odd eh?) and when I started down the stairs, she said he looked up and then quickly walked into his hide.
I checked to see if he was out so I could bathe him. He wasn't, so I went back upstairs and my daughter said he immediately came out to finish his dinner. I tested it later and the exact same thing happens... when I walk down the stairs he hides.
That little bugger's avoiding me! He hates bathes, I think that's why heh.
Not important, just thought I'd share It's nice that he's starting to interact with the family though. He was so out of it when I first got him that I'm glad to see he's getting some attitude.
