Bum raising? LOL!

We have a Greek tortoise that we have inherited, and we have noticed recently that she is raising her bum up and down in the air, both when she’s at rest and when she’s eating.

It is particularly hot at the moment, and we wondered if this is a way for her to cool herself off.

Any ideas?

Males raise up like that when they let out their penis to play with it. Some tortoises raise up like that when they are straining to get the poop out.

How can you tell if they’re constipated, she only poops outside so it would be hard to know. She must have a mean six pack lol!
