He (?) is just a little over two years old, loves to eat, loves to spend time outside in the pen, loves to bask, but mostly, he loves to eat. LOL He's so used to being handled, soaked every night, outside every day in good weather and loves to have his neck and legs rubbed. This one's name is Gamera.

That's a big guy only 2. If you can post pictures of his tail and Plastron and maybe we can tell you if he is indeed a "He"

Redfoots are the social butterflies of the tortoise world. I have one enclosure that faces my salad prep area, and when I'm making salads they all watch, it reminds me of cows when they stand and stare at something going on.
Anytime I'm doing anything in the pen mine follows me around and watches me.

Here is one of the "boys." When I got them, they were the size of a half-dollar. Now Gamera is bigger than my boot, and Mako is not far behind. These pix are of Gamera.

And here is Mako. To me, their plastrons and tails looks identical, but I'm certainly no expert.

As you can probably see, Mako is the more active, more curious, more cooperative and more outgoing. But they are both very used to being handled (soaking every, single night and being brought out to and back in from the pen when the weather allows. I got them 2 years ago this past fall (hard to believe), and they are never allowed to walk around the house or mingle with the dogs. They have their indoor residence as well - a room dedicated to the beasts. I like to think they have a good life.

Female, really? LOL Okay, name changes coming up. Thanks!
Id wait another year and see if the tail gets any bigger or the Plastron becomes concave. This is my 3 year old tail and Plastron for comparisonScreenshot_20200729-163504~2.pngScreenshot_20200729-163516~2.png

Yes, I see now - being able to compare the pix. Well, I guess they're my girls. That's fine, too. Thanks

I would give it a little more time. One of them could still possibly develop male characteristics if they're only 2 years.
