I understand they aren't to eat it, but could I use it as something to walk on...like a ramp? It's not lucky bamboo, it's real, wild growing, tall bamboo. I'm trying to make his habitat interesting for him with different textures, and natural things. I know bamboo isn't in their environment, but I was told he's captive bred so I'm hoping that won't matter as much.

Bamboo is a relative of Bermuda grass. I don't know for sure, but I think it's edible. I've seen many bamboo accoutrements in tortoise habitats.

As it turns out, real bamboo is edible. Lucky bamboo is toxic. I'm glad to know the difference.
