Tortoise ate some bamboo

I had my Russian tortoise out while I was repotting some of my plants, some of which were lucky bamboo plants, and he knocked one over and started eating the shoots. I know that lucky bamboo is marked as 'do not feed' so I'm a little worried. Is it very toxic or only in large quantities? He seems fine but I was wondering if it will harm him?

I doubt a few bites will do any harm.
